[OPEN]
Who: Darth Imperius (Talwyn Kallig) and YOU
What: Imperius arrives at the Trench and wanders about
When: Month of May
Where: Various locations
Content Warning: Talk of unethical use of the Force, including mind probes.
Arrival
Talwyn wonders if this is what it feels like to be a Nautolan. Or a Mon Calamari. He flails about the ocean in squid form for a while, but once he washes ashore he's back to being a Sith pureblood. Yellow eyes take in his surroundings, fingers brushing long, wet hair away from his face. What happened to his hair tie?
"Khem? Andronikos? ...Xalek?"
He must be really desperate if he's asking for Xalek.
The Boardwalk
Once the unpleasantness with the food and drink passes, Talwyn makes his way along the boardwalk to explore. He brings along a cup of water, just so he can have something to occupy his hands, and that he can sip on without his hair turning green again.
He can also be heard murmuring the Sith code under his breath, in order to ground himself. "Peace is a lie, there is only passion. Through passion I gain strength..."
Odd End
Talwyn's wanderings eventually take him to the little shop of Odd End. He doesn't have any credits on him, but he can always window shop for now, and think about stuff he'd like to buy once he does get some money.
As he browses the aisles, he stops in front of a shelf containing crystals. Having something of an interest in crystals, even the non-kyber kind, he pauses to look, focusing on a few rather pretty purple ones.
Wildcard
[OOC: Feel free to ask for a prompt or write your own. Also, anyone who wants to continue threads from the test drive meme is welcome to do so]

This month it appears his help is barely needed. But before he can extract himself completely from the activity around the boardwalk, he hears something familiar: the litany of the Sith Code.
He watches the person reciting it, for a few seconds. Then he mentally sighs to himself and heads over.
Here, Talwyn, have a nineteen year old in a light brown cloak in the style of the Jedi, with tunics and tabards to match, albeit in blues and greens and orange trim. And yes, the glint of a lightsaber on his belt.
"You're new, right?" he starts off, conversationally. "I'm Ezra Bridger."
no subject
"Yes," He nods politely at the boy. "I am Talwyn Kallig, but many know me as Darth Imperius." He had only just gotten his title, but to the Dark Council and his followers, he was Imperius.
no subject
"Only familiar with the Darth part, as a title, sorry," he says, blandly, and not at all sorry. "Never heard of you in particular. But people do turn up here from different time periods. You could be from the distant past or the future, relative to my native time."
no subject
"Different time periods you say?" Truly, the Force works in mysterious ways. But where in time is Ezra from? "Are you familiar with Jedi Grandmaster Satele Shan, then? Or the Sacking of Coruscant?" A Jedi from his era would know that name, and that recent bit of history.
no subject
But he'll keep being polite as long as Talwyn is. "...Yes. But only because there was a Darth Nox here for a while, and we discussed a little what was, for him, recent history. We decided that, from my perspective, that was probably, like...4000 years in the past?" he offers. "The era of the Old Republic and the Sith Empire."

Odd End
Crystals in her mind had some connection to the things that she loved. So her focus on that isn't too much of a surprise, but perhaps she was a little too engrossed in looking into them that she didn't noticed someone standing also focusing on them.
When she felt the bump she was quick to move.
"I'm sorry, I didn't realise you were there."
no subject
He went back to looking at the crystals. "Looking at crystals just reminds me of home. I used to dig for them sometimes." Mostly so he could put them on display in his apartment, and also because crystals were valuable in the making of electronic equipment. To say nothing of kyber crystals.
no subject
The subject of crystals though she was interested in.
"So you had something like this at tome that you dug up? I know crystals can be used in a variety of ways, but I'm unsure if where you came from and where I came the uses would be the same or not."
no subject
"Then there's kyber crystals. They're used to make lightsabers," Talwyn patted the lightsaber at his waist.

odd end!
Now he maybe understands the appeal a little better, or it could be his nostalgia talking. Jayce could go on about any crystal he scrounged up, hex or no.
So when he's out, a bag hanging off one shoulder full of what looks like scrap metal pieces and whatever busted machines the shop offered, he tends to pause over the crystals. Only this time there is someone there, someone he thinks is probably a sleeper if only because he is distinctly not human, or at least not the kind of humans that live here, separate from all the sleeper nonsense.
Viktor stops by the shelf, leaning on his crutch to take the pressure off his leg, namely the one with the metal brace around the knee. Eh, he might as well ask. "I don't suppose you have any idea if these could have more practical purposes than decoration?"
no subject
"Well, they certainly aren't kyber crystals, so they're not very useful for lightsaber construction. I haven't sensed anything magical about them, truth be told, and I'm not sure how useful they'd be for electronic parts." They aren't krayt gems or marlite either.
no subject
"No, I imagine if they had magical properties they'd cost a little more." He picks one up, glancing it over more closely, a curious hum. "And not really pure enough for use otherwise, at a glance. In truth I have more luck with that sort of scrap at open air markets."

Boardwalk
This man caught his attention for... obvious reasons, really. Fel has never seen a being quite like him. He is wary, but not shy when he finally approaches, inclining his strange bird-like helm (an odd combination with the simple robes from his welcoming bag) in greeting.
"That's an interesting mantra," because honestly, he's not sure what else to call it. "Not one I'm familiar with."
no subject
"It's the Sith code," He replies. Taking a sip of water, he recites the whole thing. "Peace is a lie, there is only passion. Through passion, I gain strength. Through strength I gain power. Through power, I achieve victory. Through victory, my chains are broken. The Force shall set me free."
That last line is particularly meaningful to him, and it's the part he'll never forget.
no subject
Felwinter is not sure that he agrees entirely, but he can hardly judge. He had broken the Iron Decree many times over. In his opinion, an oath is worth very little if it keeps him from doing what he believes is right.
"You value your freedom," he ventures. "And you believe that this... Force, is a tool for achieving it?"
It's as much as he can extrapolate from what he's heard. Some form of power, perhaps. But power takes many forms, and he's not entirely sure what to make of it.
no subject
Yet it hadn't been the Jedi who had pulled him from the slave pits.
"You've never heard of the Force?" If so, then they must not be from the same universe.

The Boardwalk
No Feral. Next month then.
He was lumbering along the Boardwalk to head back into town when his sensitive hearing picked up on words that he had heard from two different people and immediately turned to gaze for the source. His glowing golden eyes landed on a very interesting looking red-skinned alien and there was something about the male that stirred a wary curiosity.
"Another Sith," he growled. "You're like no Sith I ever heard tales of." Which meant very little given his limited exposure to Sith history.
no subject
"No? I don't suppose you're familiar with Darth Imperius? Or just Lord Kallig?"
no subject
He made a point of looking this being up and down, looking for weapons in particular. "Never heard of that Darth or Lord," he replied. "Have you heard of Darth Tyranus or Darth Sidious?" That would give him a gauge of time frame maybe.
no subject
"I'm afraid not. Have you heard of Darth Malgus?" Malgus would be more well known than most individual members of the Dark Council, especially when he'd only recently obtained the title of Imperius.

He finishes the next few lines himself in his soft, low, velvet-smooth voice as he draws down his hood, revealing his Zabrak features and his Sith yellow eyes. "....Through strength, I gain power. Through power, I gain victory."
no subject
So far, he doesn't sense any malice or ill intent from the Zabrak. Still, he's prepared to go for his lightsaber just in case things get ugly. While he's met more than his share of cordial Sith, he's met just as many looking for a fight.
no subject
"I am Darth Maul," he says finally by way of introduction. He's not interested in picking a fight. Most of the time he's alright with those that end up in the city from his galaxy, although there is that ten percent or so that immediately want to make him jump into a fight.
no subject
His stance remains casual, though he's prepared to draw his weapon just in case Maul ends up attacking him after all.
