"It's just, I don't want to leave. Especially if means that Usagi would be here alone. But we don't really have a choice either. And if one of us were to go back, to return home and be reunited with everyone. I'd want it to be her."

Yeah Makoto would miss her more than anything, and she would be pretty distraught, she felt like it would be easier than Usagi having to do it again.

"All of the others, they've been called back even with everything they had here."

"I... I know. You don't have any control over it, and it can be deeply terrifying, the thought that everything you have achieved here could fade away," Vira-Lorr said softly, reaching over to wrap an arm around her friend, closing her eyes and sighing in a way that sounded very sad. "I... I don't know if this is a solution, but for me it has helped to do something."

"I treat this place as the whole of my life. I have nowhere to go back to. So, I live as if today might be the last for me." She didn't add that she felt like she couldn't go home in the first place. "So, instead of living in fear, embrace all of the possibilities that are here, the love that you have. Live boldly, Makoto. And love just as boldly, unafraid. It... It will be ok."

"Yeah, that's kind of the way I did it before. I'd just jump first into everything everyday without hesitating or thinking about tomorrow. It was all just today and what was right there right then. But lately. . ."

Well not really just lately. But since she'd really started realizing how important she was to others, and how important they were to her, Makoto was trying to give it a bit more thought.

"But in that case, we need to get you home and dry, and then we can take it from there."

"It's been good to see you a bit more yourself. I know... it won't help me to just keep throwing myself into things. It can only put off the pain," she said softly, shaking her head and rubbing at her shoulders to keep warming up. At least they were inside.

"Yes, I suppose if we just get back to my home, get dry, we can figure out how to deal with whatever this is I'm experiencing, right?"
