[This month was doing something to Keith. And to him, but he only recognizes that faintly in some corner of his mind. He's dealt with influences like this so many times by now that he can see it when it's happening. Doesn't mean he can't stop it.
And he's been possessive to a degree, sees and feels himself needing to always know where Keith is and if he's okay and to make sure nothing happens to him. There's even a violent side to it that tells him to make sure nobody can have him or hurt him in the most final way possible. That side of it he manages to swallow down and keep at bay, either because it's not as strongly infecting him as it is others or because he's an old hand at this. But he won't let this place force him to hurt someone he loves, not again. He'd kill himself first.
Something is off today, he can feel it, he's been tracking Keith, knowing that something was coming. If the locals' constant talk about the Reckoning wasn't clue enough and reason enough to desperately try to track him down today, he's not sure what is. The beach seems to be where they have a lot of their biggest emotional moments and he's always drawn there anyway.
He sees Keith and the Reckoning and he activates his powers to rocket himself over there in a burst of star light.] NO!
Come on! [He doesn't even ask why Keith is just sitting there waiting to die, he doesn't need to. He's been there, he understands. And he's not interested in arguing with him on it right now.]

[And he's not sure if he's ever summoned energy so bright and intense, not even when Hunk turned back into a squid. But on pure instinct he sends a massive blast up at Reckoning's sword. Maybe he can just delay her, then grab Keith. But there's bound to be a massive explosion and he immediately turns to him while trying to throw up an energy shield (not his forté) and grab him to try and pull him up.]
