Thank god the fire does seem to be keeping those things occupied long enough that he and Vira-Lorr can hopefully put some distance between them.
Ignoring the sting of vines and twigs against his body as the jungle starts to get denser, Peter finally starts slowing down after a fair while of running, panting loudly as he bends over. )
I think.... maybe we made it.... They probably couldn't follow us in here anyway, right...? ( He's not sure the girth of those things would let them through. )
