[ The first icicle popping up like that is bearable. Sure, it does startle Chizuru since there is absolutely no warning for it appearing, but she figures that it's part of some plan Jinx has got. She has to trust the other - and also has to make sure to not distract her, so Chizuru makes sure to stiffle any gasp that would have escaped her at being so startled over that icicle.
Instead she focuses on holding on. That's all that matters, right? As long as she makes sure Jinx doesn't lose her, then the other will safely reach that other building, and then they can calm down and she can comfort the other girl--
Except it's not that easy, apparently.
Because more and more of the icicles burst forth, and Chizuru isn't so sure they have a point by now, especially when they appear so dangerously, jutting out at random angles. Her heart starts beating more rapidly, and Chizuru clings to Jinx even a bit tighter, tucking her head against the other's shoulder to keep herself from getting too startled by all the ice appearing. She has to stay calm, she has to try.. ]
J-Jinx! [ Her voice shakes. She wants to comfort Jinx more than anything, but she knows she's not supposed to do that.
It's hard when it comes so natural to Chizuru.
Biting her lower lip, and thinking for a moment, the girl says: ]
Just.. Just keep going..!
[ E-Encouragement is allowed, at least, right? It's not like she's trying to get rid of the thoughts that must be twirling around in the other's head right now. What she's saying right now is just meant to keep Jinx going, especially when they're getting so close. ]
