cw: paranoia & hallucinations
( she's really having second thoughts on whether to stop by the roost like she said she would between vi and manabu. in fact, she is standing somewhere in the mist of shadows a few blocks away from the establishment. jinx is teething on her bottom lip with uncertainty while anxiously rubbing her forearm; really contemplating.

this meet up is important but also stupid. wouldn't it be better for her to just vanish? because that is what everyone wants from her, right? now that caitlyn is here in trench, she is just going to twist everyone's mind and who knows? maybe convince the whole town to put her behind bars. is there a jail here in trench? not really from what she's seen. )

( either way, it just means she can't necessarily live peacefully anymore. she can't return to her own home and she can't hide in the rookery either, because that's where caitlyn will look for her. and besides that's where her lies will start then it'll grow like wildfire. from then on, the betrayals will start. exhaling out a trembling breath, a gentle "hand" of a man who is hauntingly familiar is place upon her right shoulder. with a slow gaze to that hand then to who it belongs to, "silco" stands tall, firm, and powerful as he stares on to the roost.

'they will never understand.'

she says nothing to those words -- only to duck her head down at the reality of it all. and despite wanting to lean in into him, jinx forces her feet to walk on into the light. but before she moves on further, jinx peers over her shoulder at "silco", who is still standing there in the shadows; hands behind his back. the look he wears is gentle with a hint of sorrow.

'it's only us. ... you're my daughter. i'll never forsake you.'

holding back her tears, she sniffs quietly and nods to him lightly to show her understanding from afar. jinx blows out a breath (an icy chill one at that) and resumes on -- entering the roost. )
