[There's a period between Alice pulling him back and Oz deciding to protect Echo that he notices Gilbert's arrival. He's stunned, reminded all over again of how amazing Gilbert is. He has the choice between fighting or helping at the house, and he does both so well. Their relationship is too twisted and dependent by now for Oz to even subconsciously taint it with jealousy, but he is awestruck by the difference between them.

Then he remembers the Beast and how dangerous it was in the past. Oz snaps out of his daze and calls out to Gilbert.]
